DESCRIBE YOUR PR

This lists the JavaScript runtimes (Browser JavaScript, Node.js, Bun, Deno and Cloudflare) first in the sidebar platform selector and in the platform grid on the SDKs page, under a "Runtimes" title. The other JavaScript guides follow under "Frameworks and more". While searching, the titles are hidden and results keep their relevance order.

The sidebar is now grouped:

The platform selector and the platform grid list the JavaScript runtimes
(Browser JavaScript, Node.js, Bun, Deno and Cloudflare) first, under a
"Runtimes" title. The other JavaScript guides follow under "Frameworks
and more". The titles are hidden while searching, because search sorts
results by relevance. Other platforms are unchanged.

The plan checks platform-selector client errors, JavaScript not-found pages, and platform page loads. An issue escalates when selector errors appear or JavaScript not-found pages rise while platform loads fall.

Services: sentry-docs.

Plan

What changed

The sidebar platform list and the SDKs grid now list JavaScript runtimes first. Those runtimes sit under a Runtimes title. Other JavaScript guides follow under Frameworks and more. Search hides the titles and keeps relevance order.

sentry-docs must deploy before this change is live. develop-docs shares the source files but does not render these components.

Risk

A throw in the new sort or group titles can blank the selector and the SDKs grid. Users then cannot pick an SDK. A bad guide URL raises JavaScript not-found pages. New title rows can shift layout in the JavaScript list. If grouping leaks into search, filtered results can lose relevance order. Other platforms keep their current order unless the shared list render breaks.

Intended effect

The Runtimes grouping is visual and has no counter. Use page loads on the homepage and on JavaScript runtime landing pages as the proxy. Confirmed means those loads hold or rise after deploy. Absent means those loads fall while other platform loads hold.

Signal Baseline Window Rule Source
Homepage page loads 589 loads in 24h 2026-10-25T00:31:57Z to 2026-10-26T00:31:57Z hold or rise above this 24h count Sentry metrics project docs, docs.page.load with page_type:home and sentry.environment:production
JavaScript runtime landing page loads 35 loads in 24h, 0.24% of platform page loads 2026-10-25T00:31:57Z to 2026-10-26T00:31:57Z hold or rise as a share of platform page loads Sentry metrics project docs, docs.page.load for /platforms/javascript/ 20 and /platforms/javascript/guides/node/ 15

Regression watch

A throw in the selector or grid is the first user-facing failure. Watch selector stack errors, JavaScript not-found pages, and platform page loads. Put each risk on one of those checks.

Signal Baseline Window Rule Source
Platform selector and grid client errors 0 events in 24h 2026-10-25T00:31:57Z to 2026-10-26T00:31:57Z hold at 0 Sentry errors project docs, environment:production AND stack.filename:["*platformSelector*","*platformFilter*"]
JavaScript not-found pages 20 events in 24h, 0.14% of platform page loads 2026-10-25T00:31:57Z to 2026-10-26T00:31:57Z hold this share. Escalate if the share rises while platform page loads hold Sentry metrics project docs, docs.page.not_found with requested_path:platforms/javascript
Platform page loads 14606 loads in 24h 2026-10-25T00:31:57Z to 2026-10-26T00:31:57Z hold this 24h count. Escalate if loads fall while selector errors or JavaScript not-found pages rise Sentry metrics project docs, docs.page.load with page_type:platforms and sentry.environment:production
Docs pageload p95 5500ms 2026-10-25T00:31:57Z to 2026-10-26T00:31:57Z hold. Escalate if p95 rises well above this value Sentry traces project docs, environment:production span.op:pageload transaction:"/:path*?", p95(span.duration)

If selector errors rise, inspect stacks in platformSelector and platformFilter. Check guideGroups next.

Not observable

The Runtimes and Frameworks and more titles have no telemetry. Search relevance order while the filter is non-empty is also not queryable. Pageload traces use the catch-all transaction /:path*?, so JavaScript pages have no separate duration or web-vital slice. Landing loads for Bun, Deno, and Cloudflare were not in the top JavaScript paths. The Couldn't load platforms status emits no error event because fetch failures are swallowed.

Hey @JPeer264 , the changes here look good, I think you should take a look at this PR @mydea created before merging, because it feels like there is some overlap that may lead to conflicts: #19930
