📝 Walkthrough

The project adds Rake and Bundler gem tasks. The publishing workflow switches to Ruby 3.4 and uses rubygems/release-gem@v1 instead of manually building and pushing the gem.

Changes: Gem publishing workflow

Layer / File(s) Summary
Configure and publish the gem
.github/workflows/gempush.yml, Gemfile, Rakefile
The project adds rake and loads Bundler gem tasks. The workflow updates its runner, permissions, Ruby version, and Bundler caching, then uses rubygems/release-gem@v1 to publish the gem.

The release job installs dependencies while the repository-write credential is persisted in checkout, leaving it available to setup subprocesses. Disable checkout credential persistence; the release action’s separate credential remains unchanged.

Disable checkout credential persistence for the pre-release setup path.

ruby/setup-ruby with bundler-cache: true installs dependencies after checkout. Checkout persists the contents: write token in Git configuration by default, so dependency setup can access it. Set persist-credentials: false:

Suggested fix
- - uses: actions/checkout@v6
+ - uses: actions/checkout@v6
+ with:
+ persist-credentials: false

This does not isolate code run by rubygems/release-gem@v1; that action configures its own Git credential before running bundle exec rake release.
