  • enable local network discovery via mDNS
  • implemented for ESP32
  • tested on Heltec v4
  • Android app should be able to locate WiFi companions easier (TODO)

TODO

  • sanitize strings
    • remove any special chars from the hostname
      RFC 952, RFC 1123: letters a-z, digits 0-9, Hyphen-minus
    • hostname max length: 63
