Experimenter is pinned to Django 5.2 (django>=5.2.16,<6). Django 6.0 is out, and 5.2 is the last release line supporting it, so we should move to 6.x and pick up any dependency bumps it requires.
Proposed change:
- Bump
django to 6.x in experimenter/pyproject.toml and re-lock uv.lock
- Raise
requires-python to a Django 6 compatible floor (the Docker images already run Python 3.14)
- Bump any third-party Django packages that need a newer release for Django 6 support
- Fix any breakage from Django 6 removals and default changes (e.g.
DEFAULT_AUTO_FIELD)
Acceptance criteria:
- Django 6.x is installed in the experimenter image
- No schema migrations are generated by the upgrade
make check passes
