Feature request: Organize threads into projects #20009
Folders help group threads, but they do not give me a clear home for an ongoing project and its related conversations. As work grows, it becomes difficult to find the right thread and keep project context together.
Proposed feature
Let users organize threads under projects, with project-level names and possibly folders or sections within each project. A project view could collect its threads and make it easier to return to the conversations for that body of work.
Question for maintainers
Would a contribution for this feature be welcome? The README says contributions are mostly not being accepted yet, so I’d appreciate guidance on whether this is in scope and the preferred design before starting a PR.
Thanks for the write-up. Threads already live under repository projects, with folders for grouping inside that list, so an extra project home on top of folders is a product/design ask rather than a bug. Feature requests belong in Ideas; we will move this there. Closest existing proposals: #11998 (manual thread groups), #16269 (initiative / coordinator workflow), and #14326 (project groups above projects). Please add any detail there rather than opening a PR yet — contributions are mostly paused per the README.
