Bug: ESLint 9 incompatible with TypeScript ESLint v5 plugins
Upgrading eslint to version 9.39.2 creates a peer dependency conflict with @typescript-eslint/eslint-plugin and @typescript-eslint/parser at version 5.x. These TypeScript ESLint packages explicitly declare peer dependencies of "eslint": "^6.0.0 || ^7.0.0 || ^8.0.0" and do not support ESLint 9.x. Running npm run lint will likely fail or behave unexpectedly because the plugins are incompatible with the new ESLint version. To resolve this, either upgrade the TypeScript ESLint packages to v7+ or v8+, or keep ESLint at version 8.x.
