Summary of Changes

Hello @qevolg, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request introduces a minor but impactful change to the taoskeeper build configuration. By adding specific linker flags, the aim is to optimize the final executable by reducing its size, which can improve deployment efficiency and resource usage. This enhancement focuses on refining the build output rather than altering functionality.

Highlights

  • Build Optimization: Added -s -w linker flags to the taoskeeper build process within tools/CMakeLists.txt. These flags are typically used to strip debug information and symbol tables, resulting in a smaller executable size.

Code Review

This pull request adds linker flags -s -w to reduce the size of the taoskeeper binary. This is a useful optimization for release builds. My review includes a suggestion to make the application of these flags conditional based on the CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE, so that debug symbols are not stripped from Debug builds, which will aid in development and debugging.
