Generally looks good. Got two additional WAGTAIL_VERSION checks that would be good to clean-up:

Update tox
Remove code that supported pre 6.0 Wagtail
Updated test to no longer create a steamfield with the use_json_field parameter.
Update to newer in development tabbed component code (currently this will make it only work in 7.1, need a better solution)
