At the moment, the updater workflow runs on a fix schedule to detect channels bumps as soon as possible. Still, there can be gaps between a channel update and an update of this flake by up to ten minutes.
A long term goal is to extend the channel update scripts to provide the metadata for sources.json or at least trigger the update workflow.
