Q: I'm selling my 8 bit computer. Do you want to buy it? The price is $256. 256 = (binary) 100000000 = 0 in 8 bits and 1 carry bit that is overflowed. So I will take the '1' and carry it. |

Ok I understand now, 8 bits only goes to 255 so 256 would overflow. But I think this is hard to derive from the joke. Perhaps it could be reworded so that the price is displayed on the 8 bit computer or something? |
