Agenda and Announcements

For Discussion

Drafted

  • 4547 Updating F1. Discussed previously. Moved to Ready for Approval.
  • 4545 G65 Breadcrumbs position. Discussed previously, Giacomo wants to cite to APG (or at least paraphrase) and/or file issue against APG. Arial label is problematic from an internationalization perspective. Giacomo noted that even the word "breadcrumb" requires translation. Moved to Ready for approval. Giacomo asked to file new issue in our repo or elsewhere.
  • Spatial Navigation to Bypass Blocks closed as commenter agreed with response provided (as not widely available, and spec is not mature, it isn't suitable as a technique).
  • 4534 Aria 11 reviewed, moved to Ready for Approval.
  • 4546 minor technical editorial correction to ARIA21 examples using email. Moved to Ready for approval.
  • 4530 update to F81 clarifying reference to difference in luminosity, aligning with G183. Moved to Ready for approval.
  • 1643 touched upon but not discussed, as thread was too long for time remains.
  • 4533 briefly discussed change to Understanding Time Based Media. Noted confusing with use of "short name" (undefined term) rather than just "name" or "label" or "title". Stays in Drafted.

Open Discussion

  • Mike working on a survey questionnaire for AGWG to facilitate movement on thorny interpretations of SC, not the least of which is Audio Description, and possible changes. We have a few other class 3 changes in the queue.
    • Survey will be shared with TF before going to WG.
    • Mike shared very draft version of questions. Trigger words: claims, asserts, thinks, believes
    • Tension between should/could/aught.
    • Different understanding of meaning for "audio description"
  • WAI/WCAG22 is essentially a 404, but that's a future topic.
